Annapurna Base camp is on of the most famous trekking area for trekkers in Nepal. this is  a highly  praised   and spectacular trekking route  which leads  to the base  camp  of  Annapurna  south. This trekking route as so call the Annapurna sanctuary trek. The route provides an interesting contrast from lower to the outstanding high mountains with breathtaking view of the Annapurna range.  Through this trek is not a very difficult one it involves several ascents and descents.  The fantastic panoramic view of the Himalayas like   Annapurna Himal including  Hiunchuli  (6441m),Annapurna  south (7273m), Fang (7647M), Ganagapurna(7454m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III(7555m) and Machhapuchhare (6979m) are some major  attractions to add pleasure for the  trekkers  in the  circuit.

The trekking  in that circuit  begins  From  Nayapul   which  is around  one  hour  drive  from phokara . for this route  has two option  to start  trekking  you can start  through  phedi  which is  15 minute  for  from  pokhara  . Half an  hour walk begins from  Nayapul  to Birethanti  situated  at  the  confluence  of  Modi  and Bhurung  river  where the route  divides.  We take  the  west  trail  towards  Ghorepani ,  a village  situated at the  altitude  of 2750 m . poonhill  located on the way  at altitude of 3210m  is the  view point of this route  from poon hill  we see booth  Dhaulagirei  and Annapurna  Himalayan  rang  is  unmatchable  and  unforgettable.  The views at sunrise from poon hill are simply amazing   . From  Ghorepani , the  trail  leads  east to the  hamlet  of  Tadapani  and  on  toward  chhomrong ,from  where  we  commence  our journey into  the  Annapurna  sanctuary  and  onwards  to Annapurna  Base camp.  The trekking follows the views of the Himchuli and Machhapuchhre.

 Day by day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA),

Your arrival to Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be welcomed by our Airport representative from Funny Nepal Treks & Expedition and you will be transferred to Hotel. After check in, you can either take rest or hang around the city, visit our office: it all depends upon your interests and your condition. Overnight at hotel B/B.

Day02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Preparation for Trekking

After breakfast in your hotel you will meet our tour guide, guided city tour to the UNESCO world heritage sides, historical Durbar Square, religious temple and cultural attraction in Kathmandu  (swayambhunath Stupa ,Buddanath Stupa  and Pasupatinath ,Patan Durbar Square ,Kathmandu Durbar square ) the sacred place of Kathmandu. In afternoon after sightseeing you will be introduce our trekking Leader and other team members. Trekking guide (Leader) will give short briefing about your trip and transfer to hotel overnight at hotel B/B.

Day03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (823M) 6 hrs drive or 25 minutes Flight  

Early morning at around 7am, we drive for pokhara on tourist bus or private care. Along the way we will see more of country side of Nepal that offer greeneries, rivers, different village, farming landscape and splendid mountain view, afternoon we reach pokhara  the city of lakes and magnificent different mountain view after check in hotel , we can walk around the most accessible and beautiful, Fewa lake enjoy boating too. Explore, relax and dine by peaceful Lake Fewa. You can even do some shopping during evening hours. Overnight in Pokhara with B/B.

Day 04: Drive from Pokhara (823 m.)  Nayapul (1050m.) by car 1:30hrs  Trek to Tikhadhunga (1577m)

 Now, you begin your trek from Nayapul (1050m.) to Tikhedhunga (1577 m.) via Birethanti (1065m.) which takes about four and half hours. After breakfast at hotel you could drive by car for one and half hours to Nayapul. Then you start your trekking. The first part of your trek is easy passing through numerous small villages and settlements. Afterwards you could ascend gently to the final destination of the day. The majority people here are Gurung and their religion is Buddhist. They are engaged in agricultural activities, tourism business and some in Gorkha and Indian regiments. Overnight at tea house including with B/L/D

Day 05: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2850m.) 6 hrs

The trail is steeply ascended for the early 2 hours and then ascends gently passing through Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti, Magar villages. On the way, you can enjoy good view of Machhapuchhre or Fish Tail (6997m.), Huinchuli (6441m.), and Annapurna (7219m.) south. Now your trail is quite easier passing through forest and descends gently up to the final camp. You could see some of the wild life such as monkey and various species of birds. Overnight at tea house including B/L/D

Day 06: Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3180m.) to Tadapani (2675m.) 5/6hrs

 Today we weak up Early morning trip to Poon Hill (3232m.) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snowcapped mountain peaks. After breakfast trek Ghorepani to Tadapani (2650 m.) through the deep forests of rhododendrons, bamboos and oaks. En route, you frequently see waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, local birds and green scenarios. Tadapani is a small village surrounded by beautiful forests which grants you a magnificent view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail, and Annapurna II and so on overnight at tea house   including B/L/D

Day 07: Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrong (2170m) 5/6 hrs

Trek to Chomorung the day starts with steep downhill. Leaving Tadapani, we descend steeply through forests and then the trail ease as we reach Gurjung which is the village of Gurung people. We then take easy walk to Chhomrong (2020m). Overnight at tea house including B/L/D.

Day 08: Trek from Chhomrong to Bamboo 4/5 hours

Today the trail drops down to the Chhomrong  Khola & again we continue climbing to Sinuwa at 2360m . Next we pass through a beautiful forest to kuldihar following by an easy downhill and continuous walking to Bamboo Overnight at tea House including B/L/D.

Day09: Trek from Bamboo to Deurali (3230m) 3/4hrs

The day begins with the climb through bamboo, then rhododendron forests to Dovan, Himalayan Hotel and on to Hinko cave at 3230m. The accommodation will be in Deurali, on the ridge above Hinko & is the stretch of trail that is most subject to avalanche. Overnight at tea House including B/L/D.

Day 10: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) 3/4 hrs

 Today the trail climbs on past the Machhapuchhare Base Camp (which isn’t really a base camp since climbing the mountain is not permitted) to the Annapurna Base Camp. Since it is totally surrounded by mountains, this area is known as the Annapurna Sanctuary.

You can either end the day at Machhapuchhare Base Camp or trek two hours on to Annapurna Base Camp. There, you will view the mountain scenery which is even more spectacular. Overnight at tea House. B/L/D.

Day 11: Trek back to Bamboo 5/6hrs

 Explore the hidden Valley in the morning and track back to Bamboo. Overnight at tea House. B.L.D.

Day 12: Trek to Jhinu Danda (hot spring) (1760m) 4/5hrs

 From Bamoo, it is an uphill trek to kuldighar followed by a downhill walk to chhomrong  khola Enjoy the evening at hot spring overnight at tea House. B/L/D.

Day 13: Trek from jhinu to Nayapul

Drive to Pokhara Early morning we can enjoy the view of Sunrise, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapurchre & landscape. After breakfst, we take 5 hours easy downhill walk to Nayapul where the road links to Pokhara. It is simply one and half an hour drive to Pokhara from Nayapul. Afternoon relaxing or shopping on your own in Pokhara. Overnight at hotel. B/B

Day 14: Drive back to Kathmandu by car / van. Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Best Season to trek

Trekking season in Nepal  generally  know as the  two best season Autumn (September – November ) and Spring (March –May) During This season offer excellent weather and tantalizing mountain views. The temperature is moderate, making good time for any trekking. The sky is generally blue and clear with outstanding views.  But if you wise to avoid crowed and enjoy some alone time with nature then you taking winter (December-February) and summer (June-August) could be also another option for trekking. The temperature during the winter season could be unfavorable for most guests. And summer or monsoon season will affected by rain but the summer trek could be a benefit for keen botanist .
